From Cuba Malua crossed to Florida in 2013 and began a long cruise north through the United States. The route followed the Intracoastal Waterway and Chesapeake Bay, through Cape May and Tropical Storm Andrea, then on to New York, Long Island Sound and Rhode Island before turning south again for winter.
