After clearing into Australia at Coffs Harbour, I continued south along the New South Wales coast. The long voyage was nearly complete, but coastal weather still demanded respect.

South along the coast

Near the Hawkesbury a severe thunderstorm brought extremely heavy rain and rapidly changing wind. Visibility became so poor that even the bow disappeared in the rain. With the sails down, I ran towards Pittwater and sheltered behind the headland in America Bay.

Sydney Harbour

After the weather settled I continued towards Sydney. On 7 November 2014 I entered through Sydney Heads and returned to the harbour where this long adventure had begun.
