Sydney was not quite the end. I still had to sail south to Batemans Bay and return to my home waters.

The final coastal leg

Iain joined me for the cruise south from Sydney. At Batemans Bay we waited for sufficient tide before crossing the Clyde River bar and entering the river and marina.

In November 2014 the long voyage was complete. Malua and I had left Australia in 2004, cruised the Pacific, reached the Mediterranean and then worked west through the Mediterranean, Atlantic, Caribbean, United States, Panama and the Pacific before returning to Australia.

The boat now entered another phase: a major refit and the many small improvements that inevitably accumulate after years of ocean cruising.
