We entered Croatia and began working north through the Adriatic. The Croatian coast, with its many islands, channels and sheltered anchorages, gave us a very different cruising environment from Greece.

Up the Adriatic

Rather than make one long offshore passage, we could move north through the islands and along the mainland coast. The route gradually carried us towards the head of the Adriatic and one of the great destinations of the Mediterranean voyage — Venice.
