Venice was one of the major destinations of the 2009 cruise. After sailing north through Croatia, We crossed to Italy and Denny and I spent about two weeks in Venice.

Arriving aboard our own yacht gave us a very different perspective on a city built around water. Instead of visiting briefly and moving on, we had time to explore Venice and its waterways at a slower pace.

After two weeks it was time to leave Italy and turn south again. Malua crossed back towards the Croatian coast for the return voyage down the Adriatic.
