The planned annual cruise to Jervis Bay changed, but I still managed a short trip up the coast in 2024. This time family life aboard was at the centre of the story.
Family aboard
At Jervis Bay I collected the family by dinghy. Theo, remembering his lessons from the previous year, practised handling the dinghy and later took Malua’s wheel as we went out past Point Perpendicular. Ruby had her own turn learning the dinghy approach and coming alongside. After a night aboard, Nicola and Ruby headed home while Dean, Theo and I prepared for the next leg.
The trip continued towards Wollongong and then home.
