The long voyage was nearly complete, but coastal weather still demanded respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">South along the coast<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Near the Hawkesbury a severe thunderstorm brought extremely heavy rain and rapidly changing wind. Visibility became so poor that even the bow disappeared in the rain. With the sails down, I ran towards Pittwater and sheltered behind the headland in America Bay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sydney Harbour<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the weather settled I continued towards Sydney.
