The river was quieter and more rural than the Rh\u00f4ne, but it was also shallower. The depth sounder became an increasingly important instrument.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Into Burgundy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We moved north through towns such as Neuville-sur-Sa\u00f4ne and M\u00e2con, where we happened to be moored for the Bastille Day celebrations.
