The crossing from mainland Italy towards Sardinia was one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Waiting for the weather<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Denny and I used Ponza as a staging point, an island and anchorage we already knew from 2007.
